A Luxembourg-based fund administrator who manages a wide range of private equity strategies, from secondary fund , to mid market buyouts, closed and open funds, wanted to use an integrated accounting system to best serve his clients.
Challenge
With its large number of managed structures, this client needed a flexible accounting and reporting solution that would support a complex environment. Specifically, they wanted a system that could integrate private equity, private debt, performance calculations on a single platform.
Solution
We had to define all the elements that make up the chart of accounts and identify whether this information was correctly entered in the existing system. This has led to the implementation of new functionalities and documents describing these operational processes.
Result
By using the agile method on this 1-year project, we were able to integrate the functionalities over time and allow a recovery of history without overloading the teams. In addition, the fact that we were close to the users and that we carried out continuous training of the teams allowed adherence to the project and to rapid process changes.
